As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas within a chemical and petrochemical location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and support a secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
A valid guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific policies.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and/or visitors with questions regarding access procedures and site protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and client guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe for irregularities and report findings as required.
Complete logs, reports, and incident documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Support emergency response activities, including following evacuation and/or lockdown procedures when appropriate.
Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as needed regarding security-related matters at the location.
