As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to situations with professionalism and courtesy. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to local public agency personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and direct visitors to appropriate departments in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
