As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a valid driver’s license to move between areas and respond to needs. Requirements

• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public responders as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, documenting observations and corrective actions.
• Control entry and exit of people, vehicles, and deliveries using visitor logs, identification checks, and/or gate procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete routine security-related reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, communicating relevant updates to supervisors and/or client representatives.
