As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist residents and visitors with courteous service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements, offering a dynamic role where you support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and reliability.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout residential buildings, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
Control access at community entrances and common areas by verifying resident and guest credentials, documenting visitor information as required, and directing traffic flow when needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting local emergency services when required and completing detailed incident reports.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems when assigned, reporting maintenance concerns and escalating unusual conditions per post orders.
