As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication while responding to alarms and concerns. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • At least 6months-1 year of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Must have updated vaccinations for covid vaccine and flu shot is required to work at medical-field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, documenting activity, and communicating updates to site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including interior corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, checking for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization as required, and directing individuals to appropriate departments in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Complete timely, accurate reports, incident logs, and shift handoffs using required systems and/or forms, and follow escalation procedures for medical, behavioral, and/or security-related events.
