As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, where your presence supports a welcoming and secure environment, reflecting our commitment to teamwork, reliability, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting staff, visitors, and patients as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential hazards.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, unusual activity, or unauthorized persons, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management, monitoring entry points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response activities, including guiding individuals during evacuations or incidents, in accordance with healthcare facility procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and law enforcement when necessary.
