As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to concerns, and deliver clear, professional communication and customer service to residents, guests, and staff. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting local responders and/or property management as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, amenities, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor and contractor activity, providing directions and reporting suspicious behavior and/or hazards through the established chain of communication.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, including patrol logs and written statements, and communicate significant activity to site leadership.
