As an unarmed patrol officer in a high-end retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols of sales floors, entrances, and back-of-house areas, staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support store teams with customer service, clear communication, and incident documentation, while assisting with access control and responding to calls for service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and store staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, back-of-house corridors, and exterior perimeter zones as assigned.
- Monitor for suspicious activity and policy violations, help to deter theft and/or disorderly conduct, and communicate concerns promptly to site leadership and/or local authorities when required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer disputes, medical situations, and property damage, while helping to maintain order.
- Complete detailed shift activity reports and incident documentation, and use radios, phones, and/or CCTV systems as assigned to support security-related operations.
