As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support students, faculty, and visitors through strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a company-approved vehicle to cover assigned areas, respond to calls for service, and document observations with professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years of security experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, notifying appropriate contacts, and assisting with crowd control when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity for policy compliance, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or unsecured doors or windows per post orders.
  • Complete shift reports and incident reports, communicate with site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support special events or after-hours activities as assigned.
