Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a leading aerospace and defense location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also deliver exceptional customer service and communication while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Top Secret Clearance is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required by site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and offering assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors while maintaining security-related procedures.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary according to protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
