Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to calls for service, and deliver strong customer service and communication to staff and visitors. Requirements

  • 3 or more years of prior law enforcement, military or adult corrections experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas on a regular and random basis; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points, screen and/or verify credentials as required, and help to identify unauthorized activity or prohibited items in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, requesting law enforcement and/or medical assistance, and following established response protocols.
  • Prepare clear reports and maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity; communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
