Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with visitors and staff to provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity or access.
Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and/or identification in accordance with site protocols.
Report and document any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or hazards observed during patrols or while on post.
Collaborate with local authorities and/or emergency personnel if required during incidents or emergencies.
Maintain a visible and professional presence while on duty, representing Allied Universal to clients and the public.
Participate in site-specific training and ongoing professional development as required for armed patrol posts.
