As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and mobile rounds, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents through professional presence and clear communication. This is an armed, driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. You will support a caring culture that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years' law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Perform armed patrol duties throughout government facilities and surrounding perimeter areas, including regular and random mobile and foot patrols as directed by the location and shift requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site personnel and/or local law enforcement as needed.
  • Monitor and control access at designated entry points, verify identification and/or authorization, and document notable activity according to site-specific requirements.
  • Complete accurate security-related reports and logs, including incident reports, patrol activity documentation, and communication of relevant information to supervisors and/or client representatives.
