As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and mobile rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. This is an armed and driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Patrol assigned areas in an armed capacity, maintaining a professional presence while observing for unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, scene assessment, and timely notification to appropriate authorities.
  • Conduct regular and random vehicle and/or foot patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and/or handoffs.
