As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to a government location, you will monitor access control points and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will contribute to a secure environment for all occupants. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry out your responsibilities with professionalism and integrity while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork and reliability.

Requirements

Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Have an active Department of Defense Confidential Clearance.
Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Possess a college degree.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials and authorizations of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and directions in accordance with site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures for the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency response personnel when appropriate, following emergency response activities outlined for the location.
Communicate security-related information and updates to Allied Universal management and site contacts as necessary.
