About The Position

As a Security Guard - Distribution Floor Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic logistics and distribution location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all. Through routine patrols and visible presence, you will provide exceptional customer service, support access control, and communicate with team members, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents as observed during patrols.
Support access control procedures by observing entry and exit points and/or verifying credentials as required.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while upholding Allied Universal standards.
Complete required documentation and/or incident reports in accordance with site and company guidelines.
