About The Position
As a Security Guard - Distribution Entry Monitor in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the distribution facility, verifying credentials and/or identification of individuals entering and exiting the location.
- Assist visitors, delivery personnel, and employees by providing guidance on access procedures and site-specific policies.
- Perform security-related patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Document and report security-related incidents, irregularities, and/or breaches in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
- Collaborate with site personnel to communicate security-related information and support emergency response activities as needed.
- Support the implementation of client and Allied Universal access control policies and procedures throughout the logistics and distribution location.
