About The Position

As a Security Guard - Distribution Center Patrols in Palmetto, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution environment and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with controlling entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and/or visitors as required by site protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and/or site management.
Support a secure environment by remaining alert and attentive while on duty, adapting to changing conditions and requirements specific to the logistics and distribution location.
