As an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related concerns. You will observe and report unusual activity, assist staff and visitors with clear directions, and communicate promptly with site leadership and emergency responders when needed. Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Perform access control at entrances and interior checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor directions, and documenting authorized access in accordance with location procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to location leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, noting unusual conditions for follow-up.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal supervision and location contacts.
