As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail or mall locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with visitors and staff, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior within the retail environment.
Report and document observations, incidents, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Assist with wayfinding and provide information to customers and staff as needed.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services if required, following established procedures.
