About The Position

As a Security Guard - Concierge Desk in Berkeley Heights, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. You will manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor activity from the lobby, and respond to questions or concerns with strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points using visitor management processes, issue temporary credentials when authorized, and direct guests to the proper areas while helping to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Answer phones and greet arriving parties, verify identification and appointments, and maintain front desk logs and reports per location requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Support daily operations in a financial services location by observing the lobby area for unusual activity and communicating security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
