As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a premier commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence will help create a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain visibility, and communicate clearly with guests and staff, playing a key role in supporting a secure and positive atmosphere.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
Assist visitors, tenants, and staff with inquiries, providing customer service while following site-specific security-related procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports and logs as required by site policies.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders as directed during incidents and/or emergencies.
Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies, procedures, and post orders while performing duties.
