As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will assist tenants and visitors with a customer-first approach, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts. Requirements

Have a minimum of 2+ years of security experience.
Be at least 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
Perform unarmed patrol duties while maintaining a professional presence and assisting with access control and/or visitor direction as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, suspicious activity, and/or property damage.
Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances and exits, help to confirm authorized access, and report irregularities such as propped doors, damaged locks, and/or unauthorized persons.
Observe and report activities and conditions that may present a risk to people and/or property, including loitering, trespassing, and/or policy violations.
Complete detailed patrol logs and incident reports using written and/or electronic reporting systems, and communicate updates to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Assist with after-hours checks such as securing doors, checking lighting, and reporting hazards or facility issues to the appropriate contacts.
Support emergency procedures by coordinating with property management and responding public services when needed, and providing clear directions to responders.
Maintain a neat, professional appearance and provide consistent customer service while enforcing site rules and policies in a respectful manner.
