About The Position

As a Security Guard - Commercial Real Estate Desk in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and coordinate security-related activities within a commercial real estate location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter incidents, and supporting access control operations. You will also provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, embodying our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity while helping to create a welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors.

Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monitoring and coordinating response to incidents and critical situations within a commercial real estate environment.
  • Operate dispatch systems to communicate with security-related personnel and coordinate activities as required.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and tenants by following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of incoming calls, incidents, and dispatch activities.
  • Support emergency response activities by relaying information and instructions to appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal team members and/or client representatives to relay important information and updates as needed.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activities by maintaining awareness of site operations and reporting irregularities.
