As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Have customer service experience, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and common areas, assist with directions and escort requests as assigned, and report maintenance concerns that may impact security-related operations.
- Complete detailed activity and incident reports, document patrol observations, and support investigations by preserving information and following reporting protocols.
