Requirements

Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements
21+ Years of Age
Level III Armed Certification (Texas Only)
Access Control/Badge Experience
Loss Prevention
3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree (C107)
Security Experience - 5+ Years
2+ Years' Law Enforcement/Military Police/Corrections Experience
Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at retail locations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed security-related protocols as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, loss, or other unwanted incidents.
Work closely with store personnel and/or management to address security-related concerns and support a secure shopping experience for staff and customers.
Document and report incidents, observations, and/or suspicious activity according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or incidents, adapting to the dynamic environment of a retail location.
