As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong presence throughout transportation locations. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with individuals on site, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while upholding our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity through teamwork and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the transportation facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Report and document any incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Operate security-related equipment and communication devices as required by the post assignment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development as directed by Allied Universal.
