As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will complete routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store associates, vendors, and shoppers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, theft-related behavior, and policy violations, and help to deter incidents through high-visibility presence and professional communication.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and/or criminal activity; coordinate with management and law enforcement as needed.
• Complete required incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation, and maintain control of issued equipment and weapons in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable regulations.
