Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Site Patrol in Polkton, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by actively patrolling government locations and maintaining a visible presence. This is an armed, driving post where you will interact with the public, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to those at the location.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access or activities.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to company and client protocols.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel as required during incidents or emergencies.
- Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
