About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Site Patrol Driver in Bell Gardens, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you respond to situations and interact with the public. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and embody our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first while maintaining a secure environment.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Pepper spray certification is preferred.
Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor and report on any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or potential threats within the government facility.
Interact with the public, employees, and/or visitors in a courteous manner while upholding site-specific protocols.
Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies at the location.
Maintain thorough and accurate records of all incidents, observations, and actions taken during patrols and while on post.
