About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Shopping Mall in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic retail location, you will conduct regular patrols to help to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. This armed and driving position involves engaging with visitors and staff, responding to situations as they arise, and delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

Have at least 5 years of security-related experience or a combination of at least 3 years of law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
Conduct both regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and activities during each shift.
Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and/or emergency responders as situations require.
Remain alert and aware of the surroundings at all times, adapting to changing working environments and conditions as they vary by location.
