About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Shopping Center in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a busy retail location. Requirements

Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
Have an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related incidents according to company and site protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activities within the retail environment.
Assist with access control and/or crowd management as needed, following established procedures.
Work collaboratively with store personnel and/or local law enforcement when necessary to address incidents or emergencies.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on all activities, observations, and incidents encountered while on duty.
