Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor for suspicious activity and report any unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to clients, employees, and visitors.
- Interact with employees, visitors, and/or customers in a courteous manner while upholding Allied Universal standards.
- Complete incident reports and documentation as required by site protocols.
- Assist law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary and in accordance with site-specific procedures.
