As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing visible presence and outstanding customer service. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with visitors, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming environment, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach in a dynamic retail setting.

Requirements

21+ Years of Age
3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree
Security Experience - 5+ Years
Level III Armed Certification (Texas Only)
Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements
Armed Guard Card/License
Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a Level III armed certification for Texas roles only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter, observing for unusual activity and helping to deter unwanted behavior.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related issues within the retail environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft and/or unauthorized activities.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or customers while upholding site protocols.
Complete incident reports and document observations as required by site-specific procedures.
Remain alert to potential security-related concerns and communicate with Allied Universal management and/or law enforcement as needed.
