About The Position

Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities.
Monitor for and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards encountered during patrols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized individuals from accessing restricted areas.
Interact professionally with the public, staff, and/or visitors while upholding Allied Universal standards.
Document and report incidents, observations, and/or any unusual occurrences in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Follow all protocols related to the carrying and use of assigned arms in compliance with local regulations and Allied Universal policies.
