About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Response in Renton, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols in assigned areas, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. This armed and driving role allows you to play a key part in maintaining a secure environment while engaging with people and upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and verify the identification of personnel and visitors as required.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities, incidents, and observations throughout the shift.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary to address incidents at the location.
Operate and inspect security-related equipment, such as communication devices and surveillance systems, to support site operations.
Adhere to all protocols related to carrying and handling firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
