Requirements

Applicants must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access or activities.
Identify and report security-related concerns, hazards, or unusual situations to appropriate personnel.
Document incidents and maintain detailed reports as required by site-specific procedures.
Support emergency response efforts, including coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when needed.
Handle access control, verify identification, and enforce client policies and procedures at the location.
