As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Officer in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will check access points, observe passenger and staff activity, document findings, and communicate clearly with partners on site. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and local law enforcement when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter prohibited activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Control access to restricted areas by checking identification, monitoring entrances, and verifying authorization for employees, contractors, and deliveries.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and enforcement actions, and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and post orders.
