Requirements
- An active armed guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Responsibilities
- Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies at the assigned government location.
- Deliver customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff while maintaining a professional presence.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities or incidents.
- Respond to incidents and security-related situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any irregularities or suspicious activities according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as required.
- Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
- Remain alert and prepared to respond to various situations that may arise throughout the shift.
