About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in Troy, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment. This role requires both driving and carrying a firearm as part of your daily responsibilities. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any incidents or concerns according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related issues within the government facility.
  • Interact with staff, visitors, and/or contractors in a courteous and professional manner while upholding site policies.
  • Support access control measures, including verifying identification and monitoring entry and exit points as required.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation of daily activities, observations, and any incidents encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address security-related concerns and provide support as needed.
