About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in Hookerton, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence at a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, interact professionally with staff and visitors, and contribute to a secure environment. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Have at least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter, remaining alert to any unusual activity.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and/or other security-related equipment as required for the post.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
Document and report any incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuation or lockdown procedures, as directed by site protocols.
Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or the public, providing information and assistance as needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.
