As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver Government in Spruce Pine, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting thorough patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a government location. Requirements

A minimum of one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location, including the perimeter and designated areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any irregularities.
Monitor and report any unusual activities or security-related concerns according to company policy and client instructions.
Operate and maintain awareness of access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
Document and communicate all incidents, observations, and/or actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities as required, including coordination with law enforcement or emergency services when needed.
