About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor the premises for unusual or suspicious activity, and report findings according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Carry and properly handle assigned firearms and/or other equipment as required by the post profile and site policies.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities.
Provide information and assistance to visitors, employees, and others at the location as needed.
