About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual or suspicious activity, and report findings according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Carry and properly handle assigned firearms and/or other equipment as required by the post profile and site policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities.
  • Provide information and assistance to visitors, employees, and others at the location as needed.
