As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will conduct high-visibility patrols of assigned areas, help to identify and report security-related concerns, and respond to incidents with calm, clear communication. You will support riders and staff with professional customer service while following post orders and team guidance. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card and a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.

Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Carry and handle authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal post orders, local laws, and licensing requirements, using sound judgment and professional demeanor.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordination with site contacts and/or public sector partners, and completing required notifications.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of platforms, station areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter zones as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by post and time of day.
  • Observe and document unusual activity, policy violations, and hazards; complete timely incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation using written reports and/or electronic systems.
