About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests with calm, clear communication. Bring your Armed Guard Card or License and a valid driver’s license to support a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Control access at gates, lobbies, and/or other controlled entry points by verifying credentials, directing visitors and contractors, and following site-specific badging and check-in procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation; operate radios, access control systems, and/or video monitoring equipment in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
