About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Mall Patrol Team in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. This armed and driving position involves routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor for suspicious behavior or unauthorized access, and report observations according to site protocols.
Carry and maintain authorized firearms in accordance with company policy and local regulations, remaining prepared to respond to armed threats if necessary.
Document incidents, observations, and activities accurately in daily reports and logs.
Collaborate with store staff and law enforcement when necessary to address security-related concerns.
Assist with crowd management and/or access control during high-traffic periods or special events at the location.
