As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed response.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter criminal activity and/or disruptive behavior within the healthcare location.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client site protocols.
Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
Support medical staff and visitors during emergencies, including assisting with evacuations, crowd control, and/or other response activities as directed.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary to address incidents on site.
