Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Hospital Driver in Columbia, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. This armed and driving post involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
Support healthcare staff during security-related incidents or emergencies, following established protocols to maintain order.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff in the healthcare setting.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearm in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
