As a Security Professional - Armed Healthcare Patrol Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility. Your responsibilities include monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- At least six months of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, addressing the needs of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or hazardous conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control, verifying identification of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site policies.
- Support Allied Universal and client staff in upholding site-specific rules, protocols, and procedures relevant to the healthcare setting.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities encountered during patrols.
