About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol in Hoffman, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents at a government location. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A valid firearms permit is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter suspicious behavior and maintain a secure environment.
Communicate clearly with visitors, staff, and law enforcement as needed, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
Follow all instructions regarding the handling and use of firearms and other assigned equipment, adhering to applicable regulations and protocols.
